Paramount is the best environment to get fit! The trainers are professional, kind, friendly, and experts at what they do. The workouts are also the right level of challenging, and you'll see results over time, but they're not so hard that you dread them or feel like death the next day.

As a dietitian here in Chicago, it is very important to me to have a positive, inclusive space to recommend to people for getting back to the gym. All are welcome at Paramount, and that is clear right when you step in the doors. There are also no scales or mirrors in the gym area, which takes the focus from appearance-based fitness and shifts it to strength and empowerment. LOVE this gym and it's impact on the community in Logan Square.

Alex was extremely helpful and the gym’s training programs were quality and abundant - there is significant value here, especially if you’re not quite ready to work with a personal trainer. Then, when you are, the PTs are highly skilled, professional, and enthusiastic.
I could not have asked for a better experience.

This place rules! It's the first time I've ever found something that has kept me consistently working out for over a year straight. Alex and Megan are awesome and they have a great system going. I especially love the Saturday morning boot camp classes. It's a friendly and casual environment to work in and takes people of all ages and fitness levels. Highly recommend!

Alex is awesome, and is insanely knowledgeable about fitness, training, and nutrition. I cannot recommend him enough for personal training.
I have worked with Alex for 2 years at this point. A few years back I was overweight, and had high blood pressure. I was able to start increasing my workouts and dropped 20-lbs on my own, but then I plateaued. I knew I needed help to get over the hurdle and that's where Alex and Paramount came in. Over the past 2 years I have lost an additional 20-lbs and gained muscle.
In addition, I have experienced a few injuries that have hindered my workouts, and Alex was PHENOMENAL about figuring out exercises that worked for me personally. He was always encouraging, and I felt like everything was truly tailored to me and my needs.

I had NEVER exercised regularly before going to Paramount three years ago and now at 43, my cholesterol and blood pressure is excellent (per my doctor), and I can just do life better. I travel frequently and now not only can I lift my luggage into the overhead compartment, I can help others lift their luggage! I don’t even think I knew what it meant for a muscle to fire several years ago, but now I can feel my gluts and hamstrings.
I am by no means a model of fitness, but I still feel comfortable taking classes at Paramount. I work out there 2-3 times a week and try to run an additional 1-2 days a week. I actually look forward to going to class because of the support and encouragement from Megan and Alex. The workouts are fun, they play great music, and they make sure you are using proper form so you aren’t making anything worse.
